well hello there! i read the first two posts as you suggested! i think each persons style evolves and changes with all kinds of things like age and body and career and anything really so i think there are many influences and sometimes we look back and think 'why did i wear that?' but it was at the time what you wanted to wear so you know it kind of goes up an down and you have to try things to see what you feel good in! im still not anywhere finished in my style evolution but i dont want to be -i think i always want to be finding some new things about me to express through clothes! its tons of fun and makes me happy :)
I had 4 weddings this year (and a comunion, but I took no pictures of my outfit that day). As I said before, weddings are not my cup of tea...but I enjoy the opportunity to wear my vintage outfits. All of the previous one are truly vintage, except from the third one (which is from primark :P) :) wellcome to my room of wonders. If you´re new here, I would appreciate you would read my two first posts.
I like this dress, there is even something vintage about it, but there was also something no working. The flowery pattern is beautiful, and the cut is ....nearly good. And that nearly was bugginn me. My adding that scarve to my waist, I liked it much better. Also the 40´s inspired hair sort of helped......better. I now have my hair in 6 long rolls, due to that hair styling... will post it later if it mantains. :) wellcome to my room of wonders. If you´re new here, I would appreciate you would read my two first posts.
I couldn't have predicted it, even though I might have imagined the encounter many many times before. The truth is, chances of meeting her randomly, in the city we both grew up in, were actually pretty slim. We had both left the country, years before. I visited once a year, but I didn't often go to the actual city centre. As for her, I didn't even know if her family was still around that area. But still, when someone who's been in your life for 30 years suddenly cuts ties, without so much as an explanation and you come back to the very place where you spent so many hours together, year after year, you might catch yourself wondering what if. Although after over 10 years, those thoughts were starting to fade away. I was sitting at Martinho da Arcada under the arches of Terreiro do Paco, the big plaza down by the riverside, a walk away from the two big train stations. I sat on the tables outside, enjoying the shadow on a day that was just at the border between warm and ho...
How lovely it is on you! Especially when you move that way ;)
